Driver-to-Driver Referral Program

1. Program Overview

The HUM Driver-to-Driver Referral Program (“Program”) allows eligible drivers to earn $25 for each qualified new driver referral.

2. Eligibility

Referring Drivers must:

  • Be active HUM drivers in good standing
  • Have a valid payment account on file
  • Comply with all HUM driver agreements and policies

Referred Drivers must:

  • Enter a valid referral code at registration
  • Purchase a full monthly subscription (Flex and NEMT subscriptions excluded)

3. Referral Code Rules

  • Each new driver may use only one referral code
  • Referral codes cannot be changed after registration
  • Codes must be entered at the time of initial account creation
  • Self-referrals and fraudulent referrals are prohibited

4. Qualification Requirements

A referral is considered qualified when the referred driver:

  • Enters the referral code at registration
  • Purchases a full monthly HUM subscription
  • Maintains an active, paid subscription for 30 consecutive days
  • Remains in good standing with no subscription cancellations

5. Payment Terms

Payment Amount: $25 per qualified referral
Payment Timing: Issued after the referred driver completes 30 consecutive days of paid subscription
Payment Method: Via existing HUM driver payment account through Stripe Connect
Payment Contingency: Referral payments are contingent upon the referred driver’s successful payment of all subscription charges

6. Disqualifications and Payment Voidance

Referral payments will be voided if:

  • The referred driver cancels their subscription before 30 days
  • Any subscription payment fails, is disputed, or results in a chargeback
  • Fraudulent activity is detected
  • The referred driver violates HUM’s Terms of Service
  • The referring driver is not in good standing

7. Chargebacks and Clawbacks

If a referred driver’s payment is charged back, disputed, or reversed:

  • The referral payment will be void
  • If already paid, HUM reserves the right to recover the $25 by:
    • Deducting from future earnings
    • Offsetting against future referral payments
    • Creating a negative balance requiring repayment

Chargeback monitoring may continue for up to 90 days after the referral payment.

8. Tax Reporting

Referral payments constitute taxable income. Drivers receiving $600 or more in referral payments annually will receive a Form 1099-NEC for tax reporting purposes.
